East Anglia offers
a host of great tourist locations and attractions
and generally enjoys very warm, dry, sunny weather
on most days throughout May -September. |
|
Here are just a few
of the great places to visit: |
-
Colchester
is the Oldest Recorded Town in the UK. The
Castle and Museum are great fun for everyone!
The town offers superb shopping, great places to
eat and lots of culture.
-
Colchester Zoo
has over 200 species of animals; many of which
are endangered or vulnerable. Dedicated to both
its animals and its visitors, you can be sure of
a wonderful experience. Enjoy the many
exhilarating kids play areas. Take part in the
interactive activities.
-
Beth Chatto
Gardens is just a few minutes drive away,
which began in 1960. From an overgrown wasteland
with poor gravel soil and boggy hollows it has
been transformed into an informal garden
harmonising with the surrounding countryside.
Complimenting the gardens is a large retail
nursery producing a wide range of plants, the
majority of which can be seen growing in the
gardens. Coaches are welcome and they have a
seasonal tea room (closed during Winter)
offering light refreshments.
-
The Beach,
we are within driving distance of many of the
most beautiful coastline in the UK. Why not
enjoy a day at the beach at Clacton, Dovercourt
Bay, Frinton, Walton, St Osyth or Brightlingsea.
